Why Choose IPX Aftermarket Sprockets?

Branded-level quality. Our own warehouse stock. IPX support behind your purchase.

  1. Branded-level aftermarket quality

Choose IPX for the standard of fit, function and durability you expect from a branded replacement, backed by IPX support.

  2. Put drive power to work

IPX sprockets transfer torque from the final drive into the track, providing the engagement needed to move and push under load.

  3. Engagement that matches your track

The correct tooth count and profile let the sprocket engage the track’s drive elements as intended. Check the listed configuration for your machine.

  4. Protect your replacement tracks

Replacing a sprocket worn beyond its service limit helps avoid running new tracks against damaged tooth profiles.

  5. Help getting the fit right

Send IPX your machine details and OEM reference so our team can help check compatibility before you order.

  6. 12-month IPX warranty

Your new IPX part is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months. Terms and exclusions apply.

  7. Shipped from IPX stock

We hold our own stock and ship directly from our warehouses, with support from the team supplying your parts.

IPX Global undercarriage parts warranty

New rollers, idlers and sprockets purchased from IPX Global are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the purchase date.

IPX Global will replace a part with an approved manufacturing defect during this period, subject to assessment and verification of the claim.

Normal wear, incorrect installation, misuse, machine faults, improper tensioning, impact damage and use outside the intended application are excluded.

To make a claim, contact IPX with your order number, purchase date, part number, machine details and clear photographs of the fault. Keep the part available for inspection and obtain approval before returning it. Contact IPX to confirm freight arrangements.

Non-defective returns remain subject to the separate returns policy. Rubber tracks have their own warranty terms. Applicable statutory rights are unaffected.

Questions about this drive sprocket

Practical guidance for CAT 249D / 249D3 Aftermarket Drive Sprocket. Use the specifications above for the recorded dimensions and references.

What wear should I inspect before replacing this sprocket?

Inspect the teeth for hooking, sharp edges, cracks and uneven wear. Also inspect the track’s drive engagement areas. A sprocket and track wear together, so fitting one new component does not correct damage in the other.

Do the OEM references mean this is a genuine machine-manufacturer part?

No. This is an aftermarket listing sold by IPX Global. The OEM references help identify the part being replaced; they are not a claim of manufacture or endorsement by the machine brand. If an OEM number has been superseded, confirm the replacement reference before ordering.

Are mounting bolts included with this drive sprocket?

Do not assume that mounting bolts or other hardware are included unless the product listing explicitly says so. Check the required bolt specification and replacement guidance in the machine service manual, and ask IPX Global to confirm the supplied contents if needed.

Should I replace the track when changing the sprocket?

That depends on the condition of the track and the reason for replacement. Inspect the drive engagement areas and the rest of the undercarriage. Follow the machine manufacturer’s assessment criteria rather than replacing or reusing a component on age alone.

What should I check when the replacement arrives?

Before fitting, compare the delivered item with the listing and the removed component. Check the stock code, mounting arrangement and any stated dimensions. Keep the packaging and contact IPX Global if anything differs; do not install a part that has not been confirmed as suitable.
